Coon Memorial Hospital receives re-designation as a Basic (Level IV) Trauma Facility:

March 9^th 2010 Coon Memorial Hospital received notice that it had been re-designated as a Level IV Trauma Facility.  Coon Memorial Hospital Emergency Department meets all the necessary standards to be designated as a Trauma Facility.  To be designated the Physicians and Nurses that cover the E.D. must have Advanced Trauma Training.

Physicians must have Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and the Nurses must have completed the Trauma Nursing

Coon Memorial is proud to have this designation and continues to keep training and education as a top priority.
